Leslie Agron, the son of a Manhattan Project scientist from Queens, NY, was born and raised in Oak Ridge,Tennessee. He worked as a computer programmer for several decades, but subsequently went to business school, earning an MBA and achieving certification as a PMP (professionalprojectmanager). He has served on Oak Ridge’s Environmental Quality Advisory Board appointed by the City Council. He has recently been studying composite materials, such as carbon fiber, at Roane State Community College. He is a method-trained actor and has produced Equity Waiver Theater in Los Angeles. In previous years, the New Play Festival has read his The Waffle House in America and performed a staged reading of his Clinton Pearl’s Dilemma. He has also written any number of short stories, chiefly in the science fiction genre, and is a frequent guest columnist in Oak Ridge newspapers. He eagerly anticipates studying theatrical direction at Roane State Community College next fall. Let Them Eat Cupcakes! was inspired by a conversation at a party.
