Our submission policy is simple: we read all scripts – full length or one act – and consider each play on its own merits.
Scripts for consideration can be sent in PDF format to TennesseeStage@comcast.net.
We read throughout the year, so you may submit a script at any time. We make our selections around the end of October for the following year, and the festival runs January through March.
Tennessee Stage Company’s process: Annually we choose three to six plays for public table readings, including a discussion session with the audience, actors, director, and – whenever possible – the playwright. From these plays, we choose (generally) two plays to bring back the following year as staged readings. Then, one of these two plays will become the featured production in the next year’s festival. For a featured full production, we pay a royalty of $500.00.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Artistic Director, Tom Parkhill, at TennesseeStage@comcast.net or our Literary Manager at Harrison@TennesseeStage.com
