2023 Shakespeare OutLOUD AUDITIONS
Part of Tennessee Stage Company’s Education and Outreach programming, this is our 3rd round of digital Shakespeare OutLOUD. Performers will have approximately 5-7 rehearsals, with 1-2 technical/dress rehearsals and a livestream performance. This program is meant to allow access to all of Shakespeare’s works in a different way or to works that are not done incredibly often. We hope to bring performers of all experience levels into the folds of classical literature– and we cannot wait to see you!
THE SHOWS:
Henry The IV, Part One: Ladies’ Night — all cast members will be female or femme presenting.
Performance Date: November 11, 2023 | 7 pm EST
AUDITION PROCESS:
You will sign up for a Zoom meeting on either Tuesday, Sept 5th or Wednesday Sept 6th via the appropriate zoom link.
You will receive an appointment time (between 6 pm and 9 pm EST) on the day you auditioned. If you have a specific time requirement on that day, please provide it in your Zoom registration “comments or question” section.
For your audition, we ask for two contrasting Shakespearean/ metered language monologues, between 60-90 seconds.
We are looking for:
Your ability to use your computer
Your ability to read into the camera
Your ability to have fun!
That’s right– these are practiced public readings; you will not be required to have anything totally memorized!
