Auditions for HARVEY

November 1, 2014, 1:00pm

The Emporium Center for Arts & Culture

Two opportunities to audition for the Timeless Works production of HARVEY on Saturday, November 1, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm and Sunday, Nov. 2, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm HARVEY is a timeless story of a man and his best friend – who happens to be a six foot tall invisible rabbit. There are roles for a wide variety of ages including seniors. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and large print sides will be available. HARVEY will perform from January 22 , through Feb. 1, at the Southern Railroad Depot. Rehearsals will take place in December and January with breaks for the holidays. Acting and theatre classes for adults (aged 16 and up), regardless of performance experience. The series of classes is $35 or $15 per class ($12 for students/seniors/military). Schedule (all times are 6-8:00pm): Sept 11 – "Spare Scenes" w/Crystal Braeuner Sept 18 – "Stage Combat & Movement" w/Steve Trigg & Carolyn Corley Sept 25 – "Audition/Cold Readings" w/Jennifer Bolt Oct 2 – *FREE* "Workshop & Pop-Up Theatre" w/Steve Trigg & Carolyn Corley Students should wear comfortable clothes, as most classes will include movement exercises. For information call 546-4280 or email carolyn@tennesseestage.com. “Acting & Community-based Theatre – Uniting Performers” (ACT-UP) aims to offer affordable, flexible classes while providing a forum for established local artists to share wisdom, develop teaching skills and promote their work. While these classes will focus on process work over performance, students are encouraged to apply their skills by participating in Tennessee Stage Company’s Pop-Up Theatre program and auditioning for the New Play Festival.
